Well done, Google

Google’s Code of Conduct starts with “Don’t be evil.” Sometimes Google seems to lose site of this simple rule—or thinks it can bend it—but other times the company uses its presence in the world to stand up for humanity.

“The practice of sport is a human right. Every individual must have the possibility of practicing sport, without discrimination of any kind and in the Olympic spirit, which requires mutual understanding with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play.” –Olympic Charter

For its homepage today, the technology giant takes a quote directly from the Olympic Charter to protest Russia’s stance on gay rights and its anti-gay legislation.
