Snort and plonk are two of my favorite words. In their own way they use to convey in plain text what we convey today in icons and pictures.
The brilliance of these words comes from their onomatopoeiac soundings that so accurately describe the intention of the person typing them in bulletin boards and newsgroups of the recent past.
